Advent Activity 2020

As we move through Advent 2020 things look a fair bit different than they have in years past. But there is still a lot going on that we would love to participate in together. Here are some of the upcoming events and details that you don't want you to miss!!!

Sunday, December 6 (a busy day!!!)

• Covenant Sunday Service at 10 am - In addition to an advent focus on love we will also be celebrating Communion together! Prepare your bread and wine/juice and join us for a special time of worship. (www.covenantchurch.ca/events/covenant-online-sunday-service/2020-12-06)
• Congregational Business Meeting from 2-3 pm on Zoom - There are two agenda items (2021 staff salary budget approval and discussion regarding our facility). To see the agenda, the proposed staff salary portion of the 2021 budget, the Zoom link (and passcode necessary to get into the meeting), and a video introducing what we want to talk about regarding our facility visit www.covenantchurch.ca/events/congregational-business-meeting/2020-12-06.
• Christmas Caroling at 5 pm - We want to have at least one opportunity to gather in person during this advent season and so we are going to gather this coming Sunday for some outdoor Christmas caroling in front of our facility at 95 Robert St. in Penetang. Details, including how you can access the lyrics to bring with you on an app or printed out, are available at www.covenantchurch.ca/events/covenant-carols. Please note that although this is an outdoor event, participants will need to sign in (max of 100 participants), social distancing is required, and (because we will be singing) wearing a mask is strongly encouraged.

Sunday, December 13 - Special Covenant Kids Event!!! (Focused on kids in grades 4-5)

• The Great Covenant Baking Show at 4 pm on Zoom - Ingredients and instructions for Christmas baking will be delivered to all Covenant Kids in grades 4 and 5 and then you are invited to join with our all-star team of bakers for an online baking party!!!! Christmas Eve - Thursday, December 24

• Covenant Christmas Eve at 5 pm - We are working hard to create a special online Christmas Eve experience for you and your family. It will be streamed live on our YouTube channel, but it will also be shared on Zoom so that we can see each other and enjoy a special candle lighting together as we sing Silent Night at the end of our gathering. Cozy up by the fire with a hot chocolate, bring a candle (or candles) to light, and join us for a beautiful and creative celebration of God With Us.
