I confess, at first listen Steve sounds like he's getting political...and he kinda does. But it isn't really about politics. It is about the nature of God as displayed in Jesus and the character of the church in response. That is the core of what he's talking about in response to the politicization of Jesus. Whether you agree with Steve's understanding or not, I hope this makes you think and encourages you in This Dark Hour.
