We are excited about the upcoming Advent season at Covenant as we prepare for Christmas!! Take note of the following opportunities during this season.
- Worship Opportunity in Community - Songs of Longing - Join us Sunday mornings (Dec. 1-22) as we reflect on songs of ancient people to find Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace during this season of waiting.
- Reflection Opportunity Alongside our BIC Family - Who Did Jesus Come For is a daily Advent Guide with daily readings and reflections for the season. Printed copies are available at our Covenant building. Digital copies are available at https://beinchrist.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/BIC-Advent-Guide-2024-Single-Pages-B.pdf.
- Caring Opportunity Meeting Needs in our Community - Beginning this Sunday, November 27, there is a box in our lobby collecting hygiene, new essential winter clothing items (socks, toques, cloves), or treats. These will be sorted, packaged, and distributed through the lunch program that some Covenant people run at the All Saints Anglican Hall.
- Sharing Opportunity Showing Love to your Covenant Family - Our deacons are again leading an initiative to share love within our Covenant Family this Christmas. On December 15, you are invited to bring in some homemade cookies, which will be combined with others’ contributions and shared with people in our Covenant family - with particular emphasis on those who may be disconnected or who we think could use an extra dose of love this season.
- Serving Opportunity at our Fall Business Meeting and Coffee & Conversation on December 1. Join us for a short business meeting to vote on our Staff Salary Budget for 2025 followed by a Coffee & Conversation meeting to hear a full report from our 2024 Cuba Team with an opportunity for Q&A with them! Click Here to visit the event page for our business meeting where you can see the agenda and download the Budget Proposal. Everyone is welcome to participate in the business meeting, but only Voting Members are permitted to vote.
