Hey there Covenant Family!
The winter storm that's rolling in has most of us wondering how our plans will be impacted this weekend. We're having the same conversations about our Christmas Eve Services.
At this point, we are continuing to plan for services at 4 pm and 6 pm on Saturday, December 24. These services will be identical. If you can't make either of those services, we will be running a dress rehearsal at 2:30 pm and you are welcome to join us for that. The 4 pm service will be live-streamed and will remain available at the link on our website (https://www.covenantchurch.ca/events/covenant-christmas-eve-online-in-person/2022-12-24).
In order to help these services to run we need to work together! By Saturday afternoon, there will likely be over a half metre of snow hindering access to our building. To help us be open for our Christmas Eve celebration, we are inviting all who are able to join us for a snow removal party at 1 pm at the church building! Wear your snow pants and bring a shovel to help us clear the walks and make it safe. The more people we have to help, the faster the work will go. Hopefully, we'll be able to get it done in an hour so that those running the service can prepare for the upcoming services.
In the event that we need to change our plans, changes will be a) posted to the news page at www.covenantchurch.ca/news, b) sent out to our news & updates email list, and c) shared on our social media pages. Thanks for your understanding of the potential need for changes.
May God give us wisdom and safety and peace as we approach this weekend. If things get rough for us may we remember that Jesus himself had a manger as his first bed! We are in good company!
